Hiromasa Suzuki is a composer/arranger/keyboardist who has worked extensively in the Japanese music world, not only in jazz, but also in film, television, and commercials. From the late 1960s to the mid-1970s, he was deeply involved in the work of Terumasa Hino, Akira Ishikawa, and Jiro Inagaki, who were at the forefront of their time, and demonstrated his skills in this field. His innovativeness, which was always one step ahead of the times, was demonstrated in "High Flying," recorded in 1976, as the final result of his work. The musicality of this album, which could be called the eve of post-jazz rock/fusion, is the ultimate crossover sound. The groove, sharpened by Korgen's meticulous arrangements, is full of explosiveness and speed, knocking the listener down with a rush. This is a masterpiece that producer Jiro Inagaki called "the ideal sound of the time. Now is the time to enjoy the freshness and intensity of this album to the fullest. text by Yusuke Ogawa (UNIVERSOUND/DEEP JAZZ REALITY)
